It's been extremely difficult this past month, feels like it did the first week, maybe even worse.  Markie came over the other day... walking up the house he looked just like you.  It was so surreal (as is this whole situation).. but at the moment looking at him, it was easy to pretend you were still here for a few seconds. I think my heart skipped several beats at that moment.  Then I spent the rest of the day in tears.  We miss you so much.  You're everywhere, yet you're gone.  Your birthday is in a couple weeks.  I'll be making you a cake like I did before (you know the one!).  I'll make sure to keep a picture of this one.

Five months you've been gone and all the words you ever said, they still linger in this house and they echo in my head. This whole time I've been waiting, praying that none of this is true, that I don't have to live the rest of my life in pain, without you.
Goodbye Jimmy, it's hard to believe, but you're really gone.  Your ride was a wild one but it wasn't very long.  Are you relieved that it's all over, were you glad to be set free? Can you see us where you're at right now, are you watching over me?

Happy Easter Jimmy!  / Your Family
Happy Easter Jimmy... we're missing you more and more everyday.  It's getting a lot harder everyday.  Melissa is taking over your job of making the deviled eggs.. I'm sure they'll be good but they won't be like yours.  We're not sure who will play Easter bunny this year.  You always had so much fun hiding the eggs.  I know your goal was to hide some so well we wouldn't find them unti they were all stinky.  Wonder how many old nasty easter eggs are still lurking about the house. Hope you're having a good time with daddy and grandma and grandpa (and everyone else we've lost).  Love you! Close

a Jimmy moment  / LeeAnn
I wasn't there, thank goodness (though i'm sure it was hilarious), but Jimmy was always sending off for embarrassing things in the mail in other peoples names (literature on STD's, KY Jelly etc).  Well someone must have done it to him because he got a sample of depends undergarments in the mail.  What do you think Jimmy had to do?  Yep.. he had to test those bad boys out.  He stood in the living room and..... well... let's just say they didn't work!  Jimmy was *always* up to something.. and usually involving partners in crime (Jon, Scrott, Bobby, Robby, Markie etc).  One night after getting Jon (a non-drinker) toasted.. they went for a little walk down towards Earlham farm.  An hour or so later they came back.. dragging a massive water pump.  Jimmy had thought it would look neat in the yard so he figured they could just dig it up and carry it home.  He wasn't anticipating the 15 foot pipe at the bottom of it.  They still drug the whole thing home.  Not sure where that thing went.  I'm sure it, along with a ton of other things, will pop up someday.l Close

Pictures and stories  / Me Again....
Please submit any pictures you have of Jimmy.  If you don't have access to a scanner, drop them off with me and I can scan them for you.  Also, if you have any ideas for songs or anything else, please let me know.  As soon as I download the appropriate software, I'm going to add a lot of Jimmy's favorite songs... a lot of songs that were played at the calling and funeral.  If possible, I'd love to put the "Jimmy Video" on the site.  He was so funny.  I'd always watch the video of him dancing, rubbing his butt on things and dancing and throwing mom and tami around..and laugh my butt off.  I still do.. but as I laugh I also break into sobs.  Hopefully that part will pass. In Memory decals  / LeeAnn
If anyone is interested, I can order a "In Loving Memory of Jimmy Nicholson" decal for your car or window (or wherever).  You can actually have them personalized anyway you like.  Just email me and let me know.  I have a small one on the back of my cavalier and I'll be getting a much bigger one to put on the back of Jimmy's jeep. Jimmy's Memorial  / LeeAnn

Jimmy's stone should be finished by Memorial day.  He shares a stone with our dad, Lee, who died in 1986.  Jimmy's name will be on the front, and a special message "from" Jimmy will be inscribed on the back.  For those of you who don't know, Jimmy is buried in Lutherania cemetary.... almost in the front.  It's a salmon colored stone that reads "NICHOLSON".  If in the area, please drop by and visit.  I often go and leave trinkets.

1st meeting  / Rob Mullins (friend)
the first time we met was in 6th grade.it was 1976. jimmy was in the class next to mine, we had those pods for classrooms, so we could look into the other room and see each other. i happened to look over and see this guy flipping me off. i motioned " you talking to me?", he nodded his head yes. i pointed towards the restroom, and we both just walked out of our classes without permission or anything. as soon as we got there, we both just started laughing! jimmy said, "lets be friends", i said ok, we shook hands. the world around us was really in for some terrorizing after that.
